I was introduced to Carie Ann Wayman through a student of mine at Hampshire. She happened to meet her through Flicker, and surprise she lives in the area. She has a great Flicker site you have to go to. Her photos are beautiful and definately my style. Love all her abandoned areas and mess. I actually know several of these places she has photographed which are of course no longer existing.
I came across Steve Bingham's work a few years ago when I was looking at Ghost Towns, and this is still the subject of his photography which I prefer. I love his saturated colors and images that seem more true to the original picture. Some of his digital collages are not my taste, but still the same an amazing photographer, with the sence of adventure.
Kareena Zerefos's work is so beautiful. I love the empty spaces and areas of minimal rendering. Really like the light use of watercolor allowing the pencil and drawing to show through
Natalia Fabia has such beautiful paintings, ran across her work a few years ago, and still love them.
Christina K has such beautiful light illustrations. I am totally attracted to the delicate use of line. Her other link is part of Vault 49 whose site is awesome!
August Bradley is a photographer I came across who's work reminds me of painitngs. They are full of texture and patterns, silhouetting his beautiful sitters.
Geraldine Georges is currently my favorite artist. Her work is so creative and evoking. I get pulled in from all the curving lines and free-flowing patterns. Soooo great.
Serena Cole's potraits are so decadent and inviting. The remind me of a beautiful wedding cake.9/16/2009 Her work is mostly watercolor but adorns the female in various materials such as metalic paper. Her inspiration are fashion models. Here's her site at http://www.basebasebase.com/archive/images/000203.html
Anne-Sophie Madsen is the creator of these pieces. Can't get more mixed media than this artist. Not only does she has amazing fashion design, her drawings are so elegant. See more of her work and others at http://www.coutequecoute.blogspot.com/2009/08/anne-sofie-madsen-tiki-mania-maori.html
